Nick Rider is a Learning Experience Engineer who partners educators with technology to blend together the perfect ingredients for student success. Regardless of the project, Nick's relational style, technical depth, and passionate inquiry create space for innovation and creativity. His love for research-based practice and application drive him to discover and implement unique solutions to human performance issues.
Nick has spent time in healthcare, manufacturing, government, and higher education - continuously developing interventions to complex problems. He has pursued excellence in instructional design while at Marion General Hospital, Indiana Wesleyan University, Orbis Education, and Campus. He has invested deeply in roles including: faculty enrichment developer, senior education technologist, senior instructional designer, VP of Marketing, and VP of Instructional design teams. Nick has also enjoyed teaching online courses in web development and technology as an adjunct faculty member. His research interests include motivation in education and performance technology.
Nick holds a Certificate in Management from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business, a BS in Information Systems from Indiana Wesleyan University, and an MS in Education in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University. Nick is also certified in Applying the Quality Matters (APPQMR) standards for online courses.
